Daddy Lohan, who turns the big 5-0 on Sunday, called over to the folks at Us Weekly asking if he could come to the magazine's Hot Hollywood Style party last night at Drai's at the W Hollywood. He apparently told them that he wanted to bring Lindsay's former assistant his fiancée, Kate Major, to the bash.

He was denied. Not exactly sure of the reason the mag's peeps gave him, but he apparently wasn't exactly the type they wanted mingling among folks like cover gal Jennifer Lopez, Oscar nominee and Twilight actress Anna Kendrick, Kelly Osbourne, Sheryl Crow, Nicole Scherzinger, Derek Hough, Nikki Reed, David Boreanaz, Alyson Hannigan and Johnathon Schaech and his One Tree Hill starlet fiancée, Jana Kramer.

Lohan tells us he didn't try to go to the event. "Thought about going," he said, "but I didn't want people to think I came here to go to parties."

Oh, guess who else was there? Ashley Dupré! Yeah, the ex-escort who brought down New York Governor Elliot Spitzer.

Yes, Michael, you weren't welcome, but a former call girl was.
