A Message for Britney
As you may have already heard, Britney Spears has reportedly left rehab for the second time in about a week.
"Everyone in the family is crying and beside themselves," a close family friend tells me. "To say that the family is devastated is beyond an understatement. Nobody knows what to do."
I'm told Spears has tried to avoid close family and friends by frequently changing her cell phone number. On Sunday, her dad, Jamie, managed to get her to go to dinner with him at Stevie's Creole Cafe in L.A., where he was able to convince her she needed help from a rehab facility. "She was cutting people off left and right, changing her cell numbers weekly," the family friend says. "So, since they are from Louisiana, they went somewhere that reminded them of home. It was the final push that sent her in."
Unfortunately, things didn't go as planned.
"She is truly on of the nicest girls I've ever met," the friend says. "She is really sweet and has a huge heart...We are at a loss."
