Call it the Tara Reid Boob Job Confessions Tour. First, Ms. Reid bared all in a celebrity weekly cover story about the breast implants and liposuction that left her painfully disfigured. This morning, she was on Today doing the same. And tomorrow, I have no doubt she'll be talking about it again when she cohosts The View. Had enough of hearing about Reid going under the knife? Too bad, because there's more to come.
Reid continues making the rounds next Tuesday with a Halloween sit-down on The Tyra Banks Show. In the pretaped interview, she not only recounts her medical nightmare but discusses what it was like becoming a public punching bag because of her reputation as a hard-core party girl.
But as difficult as the relentless ridicule has been for Reid, she says it's even worse for her mom. "It breaks [her] heart," Reid tells Banks. "I'm her daughter. When someone is talking bad about your daughter, you know, she wants to go out and kill them."
What do you say we all give Reid little break? I remember back when we first met, she was just hitting Hollywood and had just been cast in the Josie and the Pussycats movie. She was sweet. She was excited yet nervous about landing her first big gig. Sure, since then she's made some mistakes—who hasn't? She's had too much to drink at times, and she accidentally flashed her boob on a red carpet—all of which makes her an easy target. But think about it—has she really hurt anyone other than herself?
