Lauren Conrad's More Serious Side

Lauren Conrad may be coming to a college near you.

The Hills star is considering touring campuses to talk to coeds about dating abuse and violence as part of her work with Mark Cosmetics' M-Powerment campaign for young women, she's exclusively revealed.

"I think it would be very beneficial, and I want to help people," Conrad said backstage during her show last night at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week (held at L.A.'s Smashbox Studios).

The issue hits close to home for Conrad. "I've known people in really difficult situations, and as a friend, you never really know how to approach that person," she said. "I was looking to get involved with a cause that really affected young women, and this affected me."

Speaking of friends...

Sitting in the front row checking out the Lauren Conrad Collection's upcoming spring line were her maybe-boyfriend Kyle Howard, BFF Lauren "Lo" Bosworth and Hugh Hefner's ex Holly Madison.

Conrad's ex Jason Wahler and his fiancée, Katja Decker-Sadowski, were also there.

"We're becoming more acquainted," Decker-Sadowski said of her relationship with Conrad. "We're all on good terms."

These weren't the only people to show their support. In the most unexpected meet-up of the night, Conrad and former BFF Heidi Montag engaged in a tearful, shocking reconnection later in the evening at restaurant STK.

And the reunion apparently kept going. Conrad was later spotted at the opening of XIV restaurant on the Sunset Strip with Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge and Justin Bobby. A camera crew from The Hills was also on hand to capture it all for the hit MTV show.
