Is Saturday Night Live about to get a lot less funny?!

Kristen Wiig is speaking out about the oh-so-sad reports that she will be leaving the hit sketch comedy series when this season wraps.

While the Bridesmaids funnylady says leaving the show "will be the hardest thing"...

She's not ready to confirm her exit.

"I don't know," Wiig told Alec Baldwin when asked about the rumors on his morning podcast Here's the Thing earlier today. "Well, everyone has to leave."

Us Weekly reported last week that Wiig would be leaving the series, along with castmates Andy Samberg and Jason Sudeikis.

"This is my seventh year and that's my family," she said. "It's my heart. It's New York to me."

While her future on SNL is still up in the air, Wiig did confirm that her contract is up this year.

"I will say that when I do leave it's not because I'm sick of it and not because I see something better or anything like that," Wiig explained. "It's just that it's time. When I do leave, it will be the hardest thing...you're there for a week and on Saturday night you're sad because you leave these people."

Wiig added: "You have to leave things that you love."

Now we want to hear from you. Should Wiig leave SNL for more movie-making? Or should she stay where she is and try to do it all?
