Jessica Simpson could be heading for Louisiana soon. I hear that's where director Scott Marshall may be shooting his next flick, Blonde Ambition, a remake of Working Girl starring Simpson in the role made famous by Melanie Griffith. Luke Wilson is rumored to be taking on the part originally played by Harrison Ford.

I'm told Marshall—who recently made his directorial debut with Keeping Up with the Steins, a comedy about bar mitzvahs and family spats that starred his real-life dad, director Garry Marshall, and Jeremy Piven—was recently scouting Shreveport for possible shoot locations. Simpson's rep, Cindi Berger, tells me that filming is scheduled to begin in December.

The famously single Simpson is no stranger to Louisiana. She shot her first feature film, The Dukes of Hazzard, there. And in a place that calls itself the Sportman's Paradise, I think I can safely say local men of all types will be in paradise if they get a glimpse of the star. Too bad Blonde Ambition probably doesn't call for her teeny-weeny Daisy Duke shorts.
