Watch out, Hunger Games.

Online reports have been likening super hunk Kellan Lutz's new death-fighting film Arena to the upcoming movie adaptation of Suzanne Collins' young adult book franchise starring Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth.

So what does Lutz think of the comparison? Read on to find out...

"It's not like the Hunger Games at all," Lutz told us at the launch of his Dylan George clothing line Abbot + Main at Nordstrom in L.A. "It really is a new spin on Gladiator. Samuel L. Jackson plays a Caesar...I get kidnapped and thrown into this underground fight club to the death."

While Lutz was put through intense weapon and mixed martial arts training for the action thriller, he didn't walk away unscathed.

"We had this machete fight," he explained. "I leaned in a little too closely for this machete and it goes slash."

Pulling down the top of his shirt to show us the long scar across his chest (we certainly didn't mind taking a look), the muscled hottie said, "I like it because I love scars for some reason. I feel like you get them and they aren't on purpose, but you have them forever and you get to remember where they came from."

Lutz does want to warn fans not to judge the movie by its recently released trailer.

"I'm not dissing my movie because I'm really proud of my movie and everyone did a lot of hard work on that and I'm proud," says the 26 year old. "I'm just not the biggest fan of that trailer."
