Dolly Parton has made it perfectly clear—she would love to work with Lady Gaga.

She told me back in April she'd like to duet with the "Born This Way" singer and call herself Lady GooGoo after the GooGoo candy bars famous in Nashville.

And while they haven't sung together yet...

"We'd be fun together, don't you think?" the country legend said last night at the Hollywood premiere of her new movie, Joyful Noise (out on Friday).

"I think people would love that," she said. "But you know, you just wait. Those kind of things happen when they're supposed to."

In other words, Gaga needs to call Dolly, like right...now!

Parton does sing in Joyful Noise with her costar Queen Latifah. "I told Queen Latifah she should be on the Grand Ole Opry," Parton said. "She could sing 'Fix Me Jesus.' They would love that."

Oh, and Parton is all for Lifetime's reboot of Steel Magnolias with an all African-American cast. She smiled, "I think that would be great."
