Does Cybill Shepherd wanna shake her groove thang on national television?
Quite possibly.
A source tells me that Shepherd, 57, has been trying to land herself a spot on Dancing with the Stars. “Cybill wanted it so bad,” the source said. “She was campaigning for it.”
While the source reports that a deal couldn't be worked out for next season, Shepherd's rep insists the actress has been invited but the two parties have never even gotten close to negotiating a deal. “I know they’ve come to her on more than one occasion,” the rep said. “But I don’t believe she’s ever been on board.”
Most famous for television’s Moonlighting with Bruce Willis, Shepherd now costars on Showtime’s lesbian drama, The L Word.
