Cruz's Rep: Penélope Is Not Pregnant

Penélope Cruz and Javier Bardem did not have a shotgun wedding.

No surprise there. But as soon as the news hit last night that the Oscar-winners got secretly hitched earlier this month, a celebrity tabloid quickly announced that Ms. Cruz was expecting.

However, her rep tells us she is not pregnant.

Cruz is currently shooting the action-packed, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

"It's not exactly the kind of movie you want to be doing if you're pregnant," a source said. The Spanish stunner joins the Johnny Depp Pirates franchise as Angelica, daughter of high seas villain Blackbeard. The flick is set for release in May 2011.

Cruz and Bardem married at a friend's home in the Bahamas after three years of dating.
