From Cold Stone to the Golden Globes—Hairspray star Nikki Blonksy has come a long way since her days scooping ice cream. Today, she grabbed a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy, and here's what she sent me, via BlackBerry:
"Hairspray brought so much joy to my life and changed my life. I never thought in a million years my name would be in the same sentence as Golden Globe nominee, so I am in shock and have never been so swept off my seat excited! Ben Lyons was the first one, months ago, to tell me that he thought I would be nominated. And I was just honored to have him say it! I adore you, Ben, and thanks D10 for always supporting me!"
