Commit the crime and do the time.

Nicholas Prugo, one of the members of the infamous Bling Ring that burglarized a host of celeb residences in the Hollywood Hills three years ago before L.A.'s Finest got the bead on them, just learned that the hard way after pleading no contest today to swiping luxury goods from Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge.

And now he's going straight to jail.

In return for his plea, prosecutors agreed to drop burglary charges against the 21-year-old for break-ins that occurred in the homes of Orlando Bloom, Paris Hilton and Rachel Bilson.

However, as part of the deal Prugo will not only serve two years in state prison, but has agreed to testify against three fellow co-conspirators whose cases haven't gone to trial yet. He will also have to pay restitution for the value of the stolen property, around $3 million worth of jewelry, designer clothes, watches and other high-priced items.

But hey, at least he got a movie deal out of it, right?

Wrong.

Prugo probably wishes he could hawk his life story about now. But alas, there are enough news stories to go around for Hollywood to generate its own ripped-from-the-headlines flick, which Sofia Coppola is set to write and direct, about the infamous L.A. teenage criminals, imaginatively titled Bling Ring.

Yesterday, news broke that Emma Watson is attached to star in the sensational story, though no word whom she'll be playing (could it be Pretty Wild star Alexis Neiers, who ended up doing 30 days in jail for her role in the affair?)

Our pick to play Prugo: Justin Bieber?

Sentencing is set for May 4.
