He got into the piracy groove, and now it's gonna cost him.

Spanish police have arrested a 31-year-old man for causing a commotion and leaking a demo version of Madonna's new track, "Give Me All Your Luvin'," in November—months before the album's scheduled to hit stores.

The recording proved to be a headache for the Material Girl, whose reps described her as "very upset" over the song's unexpected release, which subsequently went viral.

Per Reuters, authorities initiated a probe of the would-be leaker at Madonna's behest after she sicced her lawyers on the case. Investigators subsequently traced the source of the original copyrighted file to Spain where they determined an ardent fan of the singer—whose identity has not been revealed but supposedly goes by the initials J.M.R.—was behind the leak after finding early recordings of the tune in his possession.

The man was taken into custody in the city of Zaragoza and was charged with theft, then released. No word yet on a trial date.

The Queen of Pop has since reworked the track, adding guest vocals from Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. and plans to issue it as her forthcoming disc's first single around the same time she's booked for her biggest gig yet—headlining the Super Bowl XLVI Halftime Show on Feb. 5.

The still-untitled LP, her 12th studio album and first set of new material since 2008's Hard Candy, is expected to drop via Universal Music Group's Interscope imprint sometime in the spring.
