Leno Topples Hulk Hogan

Looks like Jay Leno got the last laugh on "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan.

The late night gagmeister made his pro-"sports" debut Saturday, throttling the Hulkster in a pay-per-view wrestling match at the Sturgis Motorcycle Classic in South Dakota.

Leno agreed to the fight last week, after Hogan challenged him during a Tonight Show appearance.

The outdoor tag-team bout pitted Leno and Diamond Dallas Page against Hogan and World Championship Wrestling promoter Eric Bischoff. Harley aficionado Leno delighted thousands of hog-straddling fans, who revved their bikes in appreciation of the Tonight host's grappling prowess, choking the air with bike exhaust.

Leno, decked out in an oversized T-shirt and baggy sweat pants, didn't disappoint. He toppled the much brawnier, spandex-clad Hogan with a credulity-straining move: the big-chinned comic yanked the Hulkster's huge arm behind his back and twisted, incapcitating Hogan. (Leno looked like he could barely hold up Hogan's "python.")

Leno then felled Bischoff with a low blow, grabbed his head and repeatedly slammed it into the corner post.

He and Page exited the ring victorious, after an assist from his Tonight bandleader Kevin Eubanks, who was coaching Leno from the corner. Eubanks used Page's trademark "Diamond Cutter" move to level Bischoff. Leno then flopped on top to score the pin.

Now that Leno's put a hurtin' on Hogan, we say bring on David Letterman.
