Leigh: Single Female No More
Jennifer Jason Leigh has left her days as a single white female behind.
The prolific actress tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend, indie Kicking and Screaming director Noah Baumbach, over Labor Day weekend, People reports.
The groom, 36, confirmed the nuptial news Monday night at the New York Film Festival premiere of his newest flick, The Squid and the Whale.
"I expect to be with her the rest of my life," Baumbach said of his new bride.
It's the first marriage for both Leigh, 43, and the director.
The bicoastal couple currently split their time between New York and Los Angeles.
The cinematic duo may have to postpone any immediate honeymoon plans: Baumbach is busy promoting his upcoming drama, which was widely considered a highlight of the Sundance Film Festival and earned Baumbach the award for Best Dramatic Directing.
The semi-autobiographical flick, starring Laura Linney and Jeff Daniels as a divorcing couple, opens in limited release Oct. 5.
Next up, the fledgling hubby reteams with The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou cowriter Wes Anderson for an adaptation of Roald Dahl's bestseller, The Fantastic Mr. Fox. Details about the project are being kept under tight wraps.
For her part, newlywed Leigh is getting ready to pull double duty on the big screen with two upcoming projects.
The relationship drama Lymelife, costarring Alec Baldwin and Cynthia Nixon, hits theaters later this year, and Leigh recently signed on to appear in the upcoming British comedy Funny Farm opposite Kathy Bates. Shooting on the pic begins next year.
