LeBlanc, Gal-Pal Get Lei'd

Matt LeBlanc and longtime fiancée Melissa McKnight became more than just friends on Saturday when the pair swapped vows in the Hawaiian tropics.

LeBlanc and McKnight were married on the Hawaiian island of Kauai, publicist Joe Libonati confirmed Monday. News of the impending union surfaced in the media last week.

The evening ceremony took place on the bluffs overlooking Anini Beach, an exclusive 12-acre beachfront property. Decked out in a dark suit, LeBlanc sported a white lei, while his bride wore a long white gown.

The pupu platter-noshing crowd included most of the thesp's best Friends: Jennifer Aniston (Brad Pitt was on location shooting Troy and didn't make it); Courteney Cox Arquette and David Arquette; and Lisa Kudrow. Like Pitt, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry were both MIA due to prior commitments--Schwimmer was stuck in Chicago where he's directing a play, and Perry was waylaid in London where he's starring in a play.

The A-list guests, other friends and family partied at a reception on-site, dining on passion-fruit cake and toasting the newly minted couple at midnight.

LeBlanc and McKnight, a former model, announced their engagement in 1998. She has two children from a previous marriage. This was LeBlanc's first walk down the aisle.

Most commonly known as brainless but beautiful Joey Tribbiani on the hit NBC comedy, Industry insiders recently speculated that LeBlanc's character would be the subject of a Peacock network spinoff once Friends wrapped up its 10th and final season in 2004. Not so dumb after all.

While details of the spinoff remain vague (and largely denied by NBC) LeBlanc seems wise to stick to his day job, where he pulls in an estimated $1 million per week. His feature-film credits have largely been duds, including the big-screen version of Lost in Space, Ed (everybody's favorite baseball-playing-chimp flick) and the military-in-drag laffer All the Queen's Men. While Charlie's Angels was a certified success, in true Tribbiani form, LeBlanc played little more than eye candy--he'll be back again to sweeten the sequel when it's released in June.
