Kathryn Erbe's Got Herself a Convicted Stalker
The major crime in Kathryn Erbe's life has been resolved.
A Philadelphia man who benignly described himself as a "superfan" of the former Law & Order: Criminal Intent star was convicted Friday of stalking the actress via the Internet.
Things could have been worse for him, though.
Law & Order's Kathryn Erbe Takes Stand Against Alleged Stalker, Says He "Infiltrated" Her Life
Life imitated art for former Law & Order: Criminal Intent actress Kathryn Erbe today as testified in her own case against an alleged stalker.
Erbe took the stand today and testified that she was scared for her and her family's safety after the Charles Nagel grew increasingly persistent, harassing her with wacky messages.
"I couldn't believe it was happening," Erbe testified in Brooklyn Federal Court, according to reports. "He infiltrated my life."
Her nightmare began two years ago in 2008, when Nagel reached her on set and tried to hug her during a shoot.
What was Erbe's very first instinct about him?
Should NBC Uncancel Law & Order? 30 Rock and The Office Think So
"It was a tentpole!!!" —Tracy Jordan, 30 Rock
The NBC comedy writers are trying to tell us something: Canceling NBC drama Law & Order was a chump move. Both 30 Rock and The Office had Law & Order-themed runners last night—vice president for television and microwave programming Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) couldn't believe it when he learned that someone had shut down landmark series Law & Order, and then when Michael Scott (Steve Carell) auditioned for a community-theater production of Sweeney Todd, he single-handedly reenacted an entire L&O episode.
We think these guys are on to something. L&O should come back, and here's why:

Your show could be canceled like these folks:
UPDATE!
Law & Order Dead & Buried
Get ready to bid bye-bye to the bum-bum.
NBC has canceled Law & Order. The cast and crew of the mothership procedural were informed of the show's fate Thursday.
The upcoming season of Dick Wolf's brainchild would have been its 21st, passing Gunsmoke as the longest-running TV drama series in history. (The Simpsons holds the longevity record for any scripted series.)
"Never complain, never explain," Wolf said of the cancelation.
NBC also mourned the passing of the flagship franchise...
Law & Order Losing Longtime Lieutenant S. Epatha Merkerson
Like the tide, the Law & Order cast comes and goes in waves.
This season, Dick Wolf's 20-year-old mothership is poised to lose S. Epatha Merkerson, currently the most veteran member of the L&O team, E! News confirmed Thursday.
Merkerson, whose character, Lt. Anita Van Buren, has been battling cancer, joined the series in 1991, replacing Dann Florek, whose Capt. Cragen reemerged on Law & Order: SVU in 1999.
A source tells us that the 57-year-old actress, who just won a NAACP Image Award for her supporting-role efforts, apparently gave the word that she wanted out before the season finale was shot, allowing Van Buren to get a proper send-off, and not one of those next-season "whatever happened to?" explanations.
Then again, there's actually no guarantee right now that Law & Order itself is returning to NBC next season, so we're on hold as to who might be in the pipeline to replace Merkerson.
The news comes as sister show Law & Order: Criminal Intent lost original castmembers Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathryn Erbe, and more recent addition Eric Bogosian, in one fell swoop on its ninth-season premiere Tuesday.

This Just In: Glee Live! In Concert! Seriously!
After months of talk about Glee hitting the road with a live stage show, Fox has officially announced that our favorite gleeks are going on tour. The Glee Live! In Concert! tour, that is. And when we say our favorite gleeks, we mean it.
We're talking Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn), Amber Riley (Mercedes), Chris Colfer (Kurt), Kevin McHale (Artie), Jenna Ushkowitz (Tina), Mark Salling (Puck), Dianna Agron (Quinn), Naya Rivera (Santana), Heather Morris (Brittany), Harry Shum Jr. (Mike) and Dijon Talton (Matt)...every single member of New Directions!
"The response of the fans to our little show has been so immediate and so gratifying, we wanted to get out and thank them live and in person," says show mastermind Ryan Murphy. "And what show lends itself more to a concert than Glee? We can't wait to take this show on the road and the actors couldn't be more excited to perform live for audiences in these four cities."
Yes, you read correctly—Ryan did say just four cities. Where will the Glee tour stop, and when can you see them? Here's where they're headed...
