Laila Ali a Knockout Bride

Laila Ali already knew her way around a ring, of course, but there was no need for gloves this weekend.

The buff beauty swapped vows with retired NFL star Curtis Conway on Sunday in Los Angeles in front of about 200 guests, Ali's rep confirmed to E! News.

Ali, 29, donned a champagne-colored silk strapless mermaid gown by Amy Michelson for her walk down the aisle, according to People, the first for the boxing champ and daughter of pugilism royalty Muhammad Ali.

Conway's 12-year-old twin sons, Kelton and Cameron, pulled ringbearer duty and daughter Leilani, 8, served as flowergirl during the romantic nuptials.

"Laila's approach to the wedding was simple but elegant," wedding coordinator Juliet Ryan told People. "There were no lions and tigers and bears. It was about the love."

And maybe a little bit about the footwork.

The Dancing with the Stars finalist and Conway, who spent the majority of his football career with the Chicago Bears before calling it quits in 2004, met about two years ago when Ali accompanied a friend to a small get-together at Conway's house. The wide receiver popped the question on Thanksgiving.

After finishing third on the most recent season of the ABC ballroom competition, Ali cohosted ESPN's Summer Fun Event in New York with Taye Diggs, and her documentary Daddy's Girl, about her relationship with her world-famous dad and her troubled childhood, premiered last month on the TV One network.

The undefeated boxer is in no hurry to return to the ring, however, despite the fact that she hasn't yet fought some of the opponents she had previously set her sights on.

"Now that I'm getting married in July to my fiancé, Curtis Conway, I am beginning to doubt whether such fights will happen before I transition to the next phase of my life and career," Ali, who graced the cover of JET magazine's July issue, wrote in an essay in Newsweek in May. "Additionally, while I haven't made an issue of this on Dancing with the Stars, I have really bad knees—and I'm only 29…"

"The one thing I know is that whatever I choose to do, I must be and will be passionate about it," she wrote. "And my passion? A healthy lifestyle, which includes fitness, nutritious cooking and a positive outlook on life.

No word on whether she and Conway took to the floor at their reception for a "super-sophisticated dance," but Ali did say during an appearance on The View that the pressure was on to show their guests how it's done.

"So Curtis is going to be in a little bit of a pressure zone?" Elisabeth Hasselbeck asked in May.

"Yeah, yeah. But he can handle it, though," the bride-to-be said.
