Lady Gaga: Plastic Surgery "Promotes Insecurity"

Has Lady Gaga ever gone under the knife?

Not that anyone was wondering, but for the record, no, she hasn't—and probably never will.

"I have never had plastic surgery, and there are many pop singers who have," the pop star and Harper's Bazaar cover girl says in the fashion mag's latest issue. "I think that promoting insecurity in the form of plastic surgery is infinitely more harmful than an artistic expression related to body modification."

By body modification, the Born This Way singer's referring to the facial horns she's been rocking since Grammys week...

Which, for the record, are a form of "artistic expression," Gaga explains. "I am an artist, and I have the ability and the free will to choose the way the world will envision me."

One choice the star made that didn't work out so well was her short-lived move to Los Angeles.

Mother Monster explains, "I put my toe in that water, and it was a Kegel-exercise vaginal reaction where I clenched and had to retract immediately. I ran furiously back to New York, to my old apartment, and I hung out with my friends, and I went to the same bars."

Yeah, we wouldn't have pegged her for an L.A. girl, either.
