Kutcher's Not Laughing Now
The prankster has been punk'd, and he's none too happy about it.
Ashton Kutcher is threatening to sue the English newspaper the Evening Standard, after it made up quotes about how much he likes "f--king" Demi Moore.
A rep for the actor says the tab fabricated an interview in which Kutcher was quoted as saying Moore "was the hottest actress in Hollywood when I was growing up. Now I'm f--king her."
The May-December romance is no secret. Moore, 40, and Kutcher, 25, an item since April, have been spotted canoodling together in New York, Los Angeles, Miami and the Bahamas.
But the star of That '70s Show and Punk'd wants the tab to publish a retraction and issue an apology for publishing the phony interview in its July 7 issue--or else.
"This is an example of some of the outrageous conduct that is committed by the media," said publicist Matt Labov. "It is obvious that the Evening Standard wanted to publish attention-getting quotes from Mr. Kutcher about the relationship and, having none, simply made them up."
"If the Evening Standard fails to provide Mr. Kutcher with an appropriate retraction and apology, he will evaluate all of his legal options," continued the rep.

This much is true: Kutcher sat down with journalist Jane Bussman for an article published in Brit mag The Face. According to Labov, however, Hollywood's "It" dude and Moore weren't even an item yet.
In addition, Bussman, who's also credited as writer of the Standard piece, denies including the pillow talk in the article.
"In 14 years of interviewing people, I have never utterly fabricated quotes put in my work before. I'm particularly furious it happened when I wasn't around to see," she said in a statement released Friday. She also noted, "I've already asked the Evening Standard to print an apology."
According to the scribe, editors from the Standard asked her to fish for juicy quotes from Kutcher on his red-hot relationship with Moore. Bussman refused since Kutcher had made his prior relationships off limits during their interview and was unlikely to make a statement about Moore.
Furthermore, the Standard allegedly asked Bussman to find quotes from Kutcher that had been published in the U.S. press. But when she told them "there were no quotes from Ashton and Demi in the American press, the Evening Standard added fabricated quotes and distorted the piece entirely."
Attempts to reach the Standard on Friday were unsuccessful.
