Kris Humphries Pulls a Kim Kardashian, Gets Himself a Divorce Attorney

Kris Humphries is looking to avoid all technical fouls.

E! News has confirmed that Minnesota-based Lee Hutton, who represents a number of pro athletes and has counseled Humphries in other matters over the years, will also act as his divorce lawyer.

But doesn't the recently separated basketball star have any qualms about not going with a family law specialist?

Nope.

Word is, Humphries isn't looking to make these proceedings—which are already framed by a detailed prenuptial agreement—any more difficult than they need to be.

"He doesn't want a war. He's lying low," a source close to the 26-year-old athlete told E! News yesterday, quashing a rumor that Humphries planned to hold out on signing his divorce papers.

Kardashian filed for divorce on Halloween after 72 days of marriage. Calling himself "devastated" by the breakup, Humphries stated that he would "do whatever it takes" to make the relationship work. After cutting her stay in Australia short, Kim flew out for a brief visit to Minnesota last weekend.
