Kim Raver Kids Around
Tuesday may have been a bad day for one of the main men in Kim Raver's life, but it was the first day for another, vastly more important one.
The former 24 star gave birth to son Leo Kipling Boyer in New York Tuesday, her second child with her French filmmaker hubby, Manu Boyer.
"Kim and baby Leo are happy and healthy," Raver's publicist, Jennifer Shoucair, said. "The Boyer family is thrilled with their new addition."
The 40-year-old thesp, who rose to fame as Jack Bauer's ill-fated love interest on 24, also has a five-year-old son, Luke West, with her husband of six years. According to Shoucair, the eldest child has "anxiously been awaiting the arrival of his new sibling."
As it is, Leo's arrival is the first of two major deliveries Raver is poised to give this season.
The Boyer-Raver clan recently relocated to New York City after NBC picked up her TV pilot, Lipstick Jungle, as a midseason replacement. Produced by Sex and the City creator Darren Star and based on a book by SATC inspiration Candace Bushnell, the show revolves around the power-playing hijinks of a gaggle of Manhattan gal-pals.
Brooke Shields and Lindsay Price also star. While Raver was pregnant during production, it's unclear whether her baby bump will be written into the storyline.
The hourlong dramedy is set to debut in January as one of the network's Sunday-night anchors.
As for her stint on 24, a jailbound Kiefer Sutherland may not be the only one seeing a change to his schedule.
When last viewers saw Audrey Raines on the season finale, she was in a catatonic state, getting the kiss-off from everybody's favorite terrorist-thwarting hero. Due to her character's state at the end of last season, and her full-time status on the NBC show, it's unlikely she'll play too large a part, if any, in the upcoming season of the countdown show.
