Kim Kardashian almost wouldn't dance 4 Prince!

The Purple One invited the very lucky E! star onstage during his show tonight at Madison Square Garden, but gave her the high-heeled boot when she was initially too fazed to get funky.

Or maybe he was annoyed that she was tweeting midperformance...

"OMG Prince just pulled me up on stage!!! I'm shaking!!!!" Kim wrote on Twitter of the experience.

"I was so nervous I froze when Prince touched me!!!!" Then, two hours later, "Went up on stage AGAIN! This time I redeemed myself! We all danced while Prince played the piano! Wow! What a night!"

Kim was at the show with boyfriend Kris Humphries—but apparently Prince didn't care to dance with him.

Actually, the dapper rocker has been making a habit of sharing the Garden spotlight with fellow celebs. On Jan. 20, Leighton Meester was treated to a serenade, Jimmy Fallon sat in on drums, Brian McKnight and Mos Def hit the stage, and Madonna—who stayed in her VIP bubble—got a shout-out.
