Katie Couric a Solo Anchor Once More, Splits From Boyfriend of Five Years

Newsflash: Katie Couric is back on the market.
E! News has confirmed that the erstwhile anchor and soon-to-be daytime host has split with her boyfriend of five years Brooks Perlin.
So what happened?

No drama here—a source tells E! News that the couple simply wanted different things in their relationship and that Katie realized it was time to move on.
The 54-year-old newswoman and the 37-year-old entrepreneur met back in 2006 at a fundraiser for cancer research, in which Couric has been heavily involved since the death of her husband Jay Monahan from colon cancer in 1998. Up until the split, they had been living together on the Upper East Side.
As for now, Couric isn't shying away from a rebound, as a source tells E! News that friends are already setting her up on new dates. Atta girl.
