Before she ties the knot with Prince William, her entire family has been granted a new crest that has special significance.
So what's up with the acorns? Read on to find out what it all means...
The acorns represent the three Middleton kids: Kate, her sister Pippa and brother James. Acorns are an integral theme because the area where they grew up had lots of oak trees.
Mrs. Middleton (nee Goldsmith) is represented by the gold chevron in the center of the crest, and they chose the colors red and blue since they're featured prominently in flag of the U.K.
"Mr. and Mrs. Middleton and their children took enormous interest in this design and, while its purpose is to provide a traditional heraldic indentity for Catherine, as she marries into the Royal Family, the intent was to represent the whole Middleton family together, their home and aspects of what they enjoy," an official press release states.
And of course, this all has to be approved by the Queen herself.
After her wedding, Kate will put her father's arms beside Will's in what's referred to as "an impaled coat of arms," which requires a royal warrant from Her Majesty.
