K-Fed Gets Treed
Kevin Federline's taking time out from his legal battle with Britney Spears to earn a little walking-around money.
The artist otherwise known as K-Fed will guest star on the CW's One Tree Hill, the network announced Monday.
Federline will flex his acting chops as, in the words of a network release, "Jason, the cocky, enigmatic frontman for No Means Yes, a seminal rock band from the fictional town of Tree Hill." Not sure if that means viewers will be treated to Federline's mad music skills or whether he'll make like his former missus and just lip-synch along.
In any event, Federline will stick around for a handful of episodes when the angsty drama returns to the schedule in midseason. No airdate has been announced for the fifth-season premiere or the K-Fed arc.
Federline's previous TV credits include his short-lived, little-watched 2005 reality show with Spears, Britney and Kevin: Chaotic, a guest slot as street thug on CSI that aired last October and a December appearance on NBC's 1 vs 100.
He also fronted a Super Bowl commercial for Nationwide Insurance titled "Life Comes at You Fast" that mocked his "America's Most Hated" rappings.
Of late, Federline's appearances have largely focused on clubs—he worked in some deejaying while partying with two-dozen pals in Vegas over the weekend—and courtrooms. Federline, 29, finalized his divorce from Spears, 25, last month but has launched a high-profile custody battle for their two sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
He has been slinging subpoenas at several key figures in Spears' camp, including her assistants, bodyguard and an official at the Promises rehab facility.
