It's hard to believe that former boy-bander Justin Timberlake is now a man in his thirties.

But on Jan. 31, the former teen idol turned 31, and to celebrate, he embarked on a wild ski trip in Fernie, a small town in British Columbia.

So just what did the newly engaged star do during his Canadian getaway?

According to The Vancouver Sun, Timberlake spent his birthday weekend at a backcountry resort specializing in high alpine skiing accessible only by snowmobile.

"He was cat-skiing," a Fernie resident said. "They take you up into different areas and drop you off, no chairlift, no tracks, and you get to make clean lines."

And while the Tennessee native might have wanted his vacation to stay low profile, one resident told the paper "there was a lot of talk in town" about the star.

Totally understandable. It's not every day J.T.'s playing in your back yard!
