While a record number of viewers tuned in to watch Jon & Kate Plus 8 on Memorial Day, Jon Gosselin spent his holiday sans Kate and his kids.
The dad of eight hit Front Street, a popular waterfront bar in Newburgh, N.Y., with two mystery women for a drink.
"He came in and left with two women," a source tells E!. "They were average-looking, not model-esque. One seemed to be in her 50s; the other was in her mid-20s. None of them were affectionate."
And despite all his recent tabloid covers, locals didn't pay much attention. "Everyone pretty much left him alone as he hung out in the corner by the back entrance," the source tells E!. "I think most people didn't even know who he was."
So where have Kate and the kids been?

Kate was snapped yesterday boarding a ferry to Bald Head Island in North Carolina, accompanied by most of the kids and her ever-present bodyguard.
Perhaps Kate's taking a vacay to the resort island before getting started on her new cookbook that was just announced?
