Jon & Kate Plus 8...and Another Woman?

Is Jon Gosselin stepping out on his wife, Kate, with another woman?
That's what the latest cover of Us Weekly is claiming. In case you don't watch their popular TLC reality show, Jon is one half of Jon & Kate Plus 8, which follows the couple as they raise their eight children together.
Jon made headlines before for hanging with college coeds, and now Us has pics of him leaving a local bar around 2 a.m. with another girl...and without his wedding ring.
According the report, he was overheard calling her "babe" before urging her to get into his Nissan and speeding off. For those wondering, she drove because she "wanted to check out my car," he told the mag. "So I let her drive it to her car."
So what does Jon have to say for himself?
"Like most people, I have male and female friends and I'm not going to end my friendships just because I'm on TV," Jon tells E! in a statement. "However, being out with them late at night showed poor judgment on my part. What makes me sick is that my careless behavior has put my family in this uncomfortable position. My family is the most important thing in my life and it kills me that these allegations have hurt them."
In a recent interview with EW, Jon complained about the constant cameras. "The paparazzi thing and public eye, I don't like it at all," he said, while Kate told the mag that their gated house makes her feel safe from the shutterbugs.
"I feel like when I go through those gates, I'm good and it's pretty weird because we're still just like a normal family, we're functioning as a family and whatever," she said. Kate is scheduled to make two appearances in Detroit on Thursday, May 14.
