John Legend Engaged to Model Chrissy Teigen!

R&B crooner gets a welcome Christmas gift after his ladylove says yes to his marriage proposal during a vacation in the Maldives

John Legend has gotten the green light for marriage.

The Grammy-winning soul singer popped the question to his longtime girlfriend, model Chrissy Teigen, over the holidays, his publicist confirms to E! News.

Legend's rep, Cindi Berger, tells us the pair—who've been dating since 2007—got engaged "while vacationing in the Maldives." No other details were disclosed.

The 32-year-old crooner has yet to discuss the good news on his Twitter page, preferring to stick to the NFL playoff picture and fantasy football. His newly minted fianceé is a 26-year-old Sports Illustrated swimsuit model. Both posted twitpics of a boxing match they attended recently in Bangkok, Thailand.

Legend is scheduled to return to the U.S. and headline a New Year's Eve concert at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas this weekend.
