J.Lo: Divorcing Judd--Dating Affleck?

Goodbye, Cris Judd. Hello, Ben Affleck?

Welcome to the latest edition of As J.Lo's World Turns.

Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce Thursday from Judd, 10 months after they wed--and one night after Lopez's 32nd birthday bash in New York, where she reportedly got hot and heavy with Affleck.

The divorce filing doesn't come as a shock. Hollywood's flyest multihyphenate (actress, pop star, dancer, fashion designer, restaurateur, perfume purveyor) and her choreographer husband announced their breakup last month amid rumors she had gone back to former paramour Sean "P. Diddy" Combs.

Per her Los Angeles Superior Court divorce petition, Lopez says she and Judd separated June 2 over "irreconciliable differences." (The complete court document is online at The Smoking Gun Website.)

Lopez's legal camp says she and Judd have already worked out an amicable settlement, and the divorce will become official in six months, on January 26, 2003. Predictably, terms of the agreement were kept under wraps.

Lopez met Judd, 32, during a video shoot for her single "Love Don't Cost a Thing" (assuming you have an iron-clad prenup). She was on the rebound after splitting with Combs around Valentine's Day 2001.

Lopez and Judd reportedly became engaged last June at a Los Angeles barbecue. They later celebrated--and confirmed--their impending nuptials at an all-star fete at the Beverly Hills power restaurant Morton's.

The wedding went down on September 29, 2001.

For a while, at least, they were inseparable, colloborating on an NBC concert special (she starred, he choreographed), the music video for the remixed "Ain't It Funny" and the song "Alive" from her latest film, Enough.

Lopez is now 0-for-2 in the betrothal department. Her one-year union with Ojani Noa (a waiter who now manages Madre's, her Pasadena, California, restaurant) ended in divorce in 1998. This was the first marriage for Judd.

Apparently J.Lo didn't spend too much time mourning her late marriage. According to Thursday's New York Post she and Affleck "kissed, cuddled and made goo-goo eyes at each other" during her surprise birthday party Wednesday at the Park restaurant in New York. Affleck purportedly gave her a diamond-encrusted Harry Winston bracelet as a present, and she introduced him to her family.

Affleck and Lopez recently wrapped the hit man comedy Gigli, in which they play lovers. They will be playing husband and wife in the Kevin Smith comedy Jersey Girl, which begins shooting next month.

Publicists for both actors claim the two are just friends.
