Jim Carrey Says He Didn't Tag His House—So Whose Got Graffitied?

Jim Carrey Splash News

Jim Carrey's been acting a little, um, exuberant lately.

There was that heartfelt video love letter to Emma Stone, he's been tweeting pics of his wacky paintings, and he appeared to have recently tagged his own house.

But what he was snapped spray-painting in New York's West Village over Labor Day weekend wasn't actually his house.

So who does it belong to? And can Carrey get in trouble?

Actually, the funnyman is all good with the NYPD. And he hasn't pissed off any neighbors.

And instead of marking the walls of his own home, but the Pet Detective star says it's just his art studio where he likes to hang out and paint.

"Incase u believe wht u read in papers n blogs i did't tag my house. It's my art studio, a simple space where i can unleash my #Boing," he tweeted.

Carrey also posted a picture of his latest abstract painting, which appears to depict a cross-legged wild-haired figure, sitting Indian style. It's the same creature he sprayed on the studio.

Perhaps an homage to his crush Emma? Or maybe Carrey, who's been spending a lot of his time in the Big Apple, is just exploring new creative avenues.
