American Idol Hollywood Week Begins: How Did Jim Carrey's Daughter Do? And Who Fell Off the Stage?!
Hollywood Week on American Idol: 309 aspiring stars go in, barely half come out.
And that's just on the first two days!
Wannabes from all over the country poured into the theater on Wednesday's episode to do one more a cappella performance for Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler, who were not there to give feedback—just to cut the crowd in half.
It's difficult to stake a claim to favorites during the initial audition rounds, but there were some familiar, seemingly promising talents who did not make it through.
Watch Jim Carrey's Daughter Audition for American Idol! Is She Going (Back) to Hollywood?
Last night on American Idol's auditions show, the country was introduced to Jane Carrey—a 24-year-old mother, waitress, musician, Los Angeleno…and, oh yeah, Jim Carrey's daughter.
The self-professed "huge ham" (guess we know which parent's genes she inherited), dropped by the reality show's San Diego auditions and rather aptly belted out "Something to Talk About."
And the judges sure did. But were they blown away by the famous progeny, or did, well, somebody stop her?
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes Cozy Up in Bed for a Totally Drunk Christmas!
It's no secret we love Ryan Gosling and live for anything featuring the hunk (more so when he shows off that killer six-pack of his, but whatever).
Which is why we thought it was brilliant when we heard he'd made a cameo in one of the hilarious Drunk History videos (if you haven't yet, check out some of the past historical reenactments and try not to laugh, we dare you).
Tho we had to doublethink it when we learned his ladylove costar would be at his side...
Morning Mail! Is Justin Timberlake Rushing to the Altar?
Dear Ted:
Us Weekly is saying Justin Timberlake will marry Jessica Biel because he is afraid to lose her. Does she have that much control over him?
—Mariah
Dear Can't Believe Everything You Read:
Look, J.T. and Jessica seem to be doing fine and they might even get married someday. But I've said it before and I'll repeat: It ain't happening anytime soon. Justin is eager prove his playboy days are behind him though—just not desperate enough to tie himself down permanently.
Dear Ted:
I'm not buying that paparazzi are behind all the Ryan Gosling-Eva Mendes pictures. Why do you think he's publicizing this relationship in Paris? Arm-in-arm looking up at the Eiffel Tower? If that doesn't scream staged I don't know what does, which just seems very un-Gosling.

Jim Carrey's Daughter Jane Files Files for Divorce After Just 11 Months
When we last checked in on them a year ago, Jim Carrey's daughter Jane had separating from her husband of 11 months.
Now, the other shoe has dropped, and Jane has officially filed for divorce from Alex Santana.
But are the two going to fight over custody of their kid?

Before we get to the frivolity of the day, Sunday is the 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks and we'd like to extend thoughts, prayers and well-wishes to the families of those who lost loved ones in New York, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania.
In commemorating the date, we've thought about the ways in which Hollywood has changed and, in certain cases, not changed at all since 9/11, as well as how the politics and emotions set off that day are being reflected in what we watch and listen to.
But then, we've got your usual seven days' worth of celebutainment ready for the reviewing in one fell swoop. Enjoy!

Should We Be Worried About Jim Carrey?
Jim Carrey made a weird video for Emma Stone, then spray-painted the side of his house. Should we be worried about him?
—Holio, via the inbox
Right, right. Because anybody who stencils the side of his own property—a studio, mind you, not his house—must suffer some sort of mental disorder. And beware to any aging actor hoping to use YouTube to buy fresh relevance with the kids: If you flop, you must have a serious case of the cray-crays! Still, because I love you, I ran your question past a real live therapist. And what she said surprised me ...
Jim Carrey Says He Didn't Tag His House—So Whose Got Graffitied?
Jim Carrey's been acting a little, um, exuberant lately.
There was that heartfelt video love letter to Emma Stone, he's been tweeting pics of his wacky paintings, and he appeared to have recently tagged his own house.
But what he was snapped spray-painting in New York's West Village over Labor Day weekend wasn't actually his house.
So who does it belong to? And can Carrey get in trouble?
In Living Color: Jim Carrey Graffitis His Own Home
Riddle us this.
Why did Jim Carrey decide to graffiti the side of his pad?!
That's exactly what folks are wondering after the funnyman was spotted using a stencil and some spray paint to decorate his house in New York City's West Village over the Labor Day weekend.
Was Carrey looking to brighten up the place, or is he hoping object-of-his-affection Emma Stone loves a man with mad art skills?
Whatever the case, the Truman Show star certainly put on quite the, er, show.
