Jessica Simpson Designs, Brandon Davis Scores and Heidi Montag Struts

I miss my hometown. As much as I enjoyed beaching with Paris Hilton in Malibu this weekend, Miami was the place to be. In light of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week: Miami Swim, the stars were out in full force.

After debuting her eponymous swimwear collection (for more on the line check out Mystyle), Jessica Simpson hosted a party in the Redroom at the Shore Club's Skybar. My Miami party spies tell me the vixen—surrounded by bodyguards—refused to answer any questions without her mother, Tina, present. Ain't that the polar opposite of Britney Spears?! With sis Ashlee a no-show, Jess controlled the spotlight, looking amazing and making guys jealous by focusing all her flirtations on mane man Ken Paves.

Elsewhere on South Beach, Brandon Davis partied at Mokai—four nights in a row! His reported financial troubles don't seem to be affecting the oily heir, at least not romantically—he was spotted all over with his new fling, Australian model Cheyenne.

Also at Mokai was Jamie-Lynn Sigler, in town to support her boyfriend, Scott Sartiano, who was showcasing his jeans line, Genetic Denim. "They were very affectionate with each other,” an amour observer tells me, “and canoodling all night."

Heidi Montag, Ashley Paige

Even more affectionate were "we love to be photographed" couple Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt. While Heidi walked in the Ashley Paige for Girls Gone Wild show, her proud fiancé ran around trying to find the best camera angle to shoot his betrothed. But I hear the highlight wasn't Heidi's toned bod—it was designer Paige's printed tee, which read "Free Joe," in support of legally beleaguered GGW honcho Joe Francis. If more of his gal-pals had been wearing shirts in the first place, perhaps Mr. Francis wouldn't be in such a mess.
