Jersey Shore's Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino Not in Rehab, Says Rep

Has the life of a party animal caught up with the reality star?

Now this is a surprising situation.

We've seen Mike Sorrentino aka The Situation living it up for the past five seasons of Jersey Shore, and now there is a report claiming that he's in treatment for substance abuse—but is that true?

We asked his rep, who says...

Nope.

Sorrentino's rep denies any claims that Sitch entered rehab for substance abuse, telling E! News "He has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule."

Well sure, we can imagine the grind of publicity appearances and nightclub visits can get super draining.

Still, he sounds ready for action, tweeting: "Getting in amazing shape for season 6."

As well as, "Don't believe everything you read or hear."
