Jay-Z on Rihanna: "I Don't Want to Go Into It"

Jay-Z is speaking out about his protégé Rihanna for the first time since she was allegedly beaten and bruised by Chris Brown.

"I just think we should all support her," said the hip-hop mogul, who signed the Barbadian beauty to his record label in 2004. "She's going through a tough time. You have to realize she's a young girl, as well. She's very young."

He added, "You have to have compassion for others. Just imagine it being your sister or mom and then think about how we should talk about that."

However, when asked if he's seen Rihanna since the attack, Jay-Z said, "I don't want to go into it."

Rihanna, 20, is reportedly back home in Barbados, according to an interview with her dad in People. In a separate interview with Us, however, Ronald Fenty refused to confirm his daughter's whereabouts and denied People's claim that he has seen her.

"No, I haven't seen her. I haven't seen her bruises," said Fenty, who called Brown, 19, "a little immature" in the interview.

"I hope he learned his lesson and that this will never happen to another woman."
