Jason Priestley Pops the Question

Jason Priestley is ready to make some long-term room in his zip code for his English-born girlfriend Naomi Lowde.

The former teen idol has proposed to Lowde, a makeup artist, his publicist has confirmed Monday. The two have yet to set a wedding date.

Priestley, 34, and Lowde have been together for several years. She was by his side two years ago while he recovered from a near-fatal Indy car crash during practice at the Kentucky Speedway.

While the accident left the Beverly Hills, 90210 alum with a concussion, broken back, fractured feet, lacerated nose and bruised eye socket, he went on to make a full recovery.

It will be the second walk down the aisle for the erstwhile Brandon Walsh, who was previously married in 1999 to another makeup artist, Ashlee Petersen, in a union that lasted less than a year.

Currently starring in Fox's Tru Calling, Priestley is best known for starring as one of the Walsh twins on 90210, a role he played for eight years.

Rocky days followed as Priestley hustled to shed his teen TV image. He starred in a string of forgettable movies and generated headlines for his DUI arrest in 1999 when he crashed his Porsche into a couple of trash cans, a parked car and a power pole in the Hollywood hills.

Following a stint in a work-release program and three months in rehab, Priestley got back on track with a gig as a race-car color man for ABC's Indy broadcasts, followed by his ill-fated stint as a pro driver.

Aside from Tru Calling, Priestley starred in last year's campy release Die, Mommie, Die and the recent ABC Family movie I Want to Marry Ryan Banks. The Canadian-born thesp has an upcoming trio of projects north of the border: Chicks with Sticks about female hockey players, the made-for-TV movie Sleep Murder and the comedy Going the Distance.
