James Van Der Beek's Marriage Up a Creek

James Van Der Beek didn't want to wait for his life to be over to be single again.
The Dawson's Creek star has filed for divorce from wife Heather McComb, five months after the duo confirmed they were separating after almost six years of marriage.
Van Der Beek, 32, cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split, according to the petition filed Nov. 13 in Los Angeles Superior Court.
The once very cute couple tied the knot in July 2003. They did not have children together.
After stringing together a series of TV appearances, including guest spots on Criminal Minds, How I Met Your Mother and Medium (he plays a great creep), Van Der Beek recently landed a role on ABC's freshman drama The Forgotten.
Van Der Beek had this to say via Twitter this evening: "Time to go to work. My job tonight - piss off Antonio Banderas take after take after take... 'Let's play...'"
OK. Well, he and Heather were separated already.
