Jaime King Made a Missus
Jaime King has found someone to share her throne.
The model-actress tied the knot with director Kyle Newman Friday at the same Los Angeles-area park where they got engaged last spring.
According to People, the camera-ready couple swapped vows at Greystone Park and Manor in Beverly Hills. There were no details on the size of the wedding party or the ceremony itself; however, King told InStyle Weddings' October issue that she planned on keeping the big day "intimate and relaxed" and that she had already picked out a Calvin Klein gown for her trip down the aisle.
The lack of any other particulars is in keeping with the couple's low-profile.
Newman, 31, and King, 28, first met in 2005 when he directed her in Fanboys, a buddy comedy starring Kristen Bell, William Shatner and Seth Rogen and centering on four friends who honor a dying pal's wish to watch Star Wars at George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch. The film is slated for a January release.
The duo moved past the platonic stage last year. King told InStyle that she and Newman had moved in together within just three months of their first date.
"I don't know why, but some part of me was instantly connected to him, and I loved him so much. It was intense...I didn't have to stop and wonder whether it made sense because it didn't feel like a big choice."
King also recounted the story of her engagement to InStyle. After a veritable comedy of errors as Newman attempted to locate her engagement ring from an errant FedEx truck without her knowing, they set off for a leisurely stroll, "walking around and around" in the Beverly Hills park before he finally "got down on one knee and proposed."
King, whose credits also include Sin City, Pearl Harbor and the short-lived shows The Class and Kitchen Confidential, has already wrapped production on several films, including the action flick The Spirit, with Samuel L. Jackson, Eva Mendes and Scarlett Johansson, and is gearing up to star in Sin City 2.
Newman, meanwhile, has no features on the horizon, per IMDb, giving him plenty of time for new husband duties. And perhaps down the line, father duties.
King told InStyle that she's ready to start procreating, saying, "I want at least three children."
