Whitney Houston Death Probe: Doctors, Medical Records Sought in Investigation

This is sad, but not entirely unfamiliar territory.
As tends to happen with high-profile and sudden celebrity deaths (see: Anna Nicole Smith, Michael Jackson, et al.), investigators are now setting their sights on Whitney Houston's doctors.

Though her fans and family are still reeling from the shock of Whitney Houston's sudden death, the wheels are already in motion to make sure the singer can rest, and quickly, in peace.
Funeral plans are already under way for the legendary Grammy winner, and a service is expected to take place later this week in Newark, N.J.

There won't be real answers for weeks regarding Whitney Houston's technical cause of death, but it seemed as if even the usual "inconclusive" placeholder wouldn't be forthcoming this time.
The Beverly Hills Police Department has placed a security hold on any conclusions determined today by the autopsy performed on the pop icon, who died yesterday afternoon at the age of 48.

Turns out, this whole Beyoncé and Jay-Z hospital security furor was nothing more than a tempest in a swaddling cloth.
At least, that's according to state health officials, who investigated and dismissed all—and by all, we mean all two—of the complaints they received, ostensibly from put-out new parents, in the wake of Blue Ivy Carter's birth over the weekend.

The New York State Health Department has confirmed it's looking into complaints concerning the treatment of maternity patients and their families during Beyoncé's controversial stay at Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital this weekend.
But don't go calling it an investigation...

It would be very satisfying to pin down an exact cause to Natalie Wood's death (and possibly who else was involved), but it doesn't seem like we'll be getting that luxury. Not yet, anyway.
The Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed to E! News that there has not been any evidence of foul play in the iconic Hollywood star's case and it is still being ruled as an accidental drowning. However, they also stress that the case "is still being investigated and is still active."
