In the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Phil Spector is one among hundreds. In the celebrity hall of shame, however, the legendary producer stoops alone.
As the most famous showbiz personality ever found guilty of murder.
"Without question," attorney Eric Dubin, author of The Star Chamber: How Celebrities Go Free and Their Lawyers Become Famous, tells E! News.
Currently, there are just two members of the convicted-killer celebrity club: Spector and rapper C-Murder. While Spector's résumé trumps the B-list C-Murder's, the mogul's likability factor, according to Dubin, didn't top O.J. Simpson's or even Robert Blake's.
"He didn't have the aura or power to pull it off," Dubin says.
If Spector's star couldn't blind a jury, then in that, at least, he's not alone. As the other members of our guilty gallery can attest. Under oath, probably.
