Kanye Splits with Betrothed

Kanye West is no longer making sweet music with Alexis Phifer, his fiancée of a year and a half.
The breakup—attributed to the rapper's busy schedule as he preps for his upcoming Glow in the Dark tour—was first reported earlier today by Us and later confirmed when Alexis spoke to People.
"It's always sad when things like this end, and we remain friends,” says Phifer, who has been with Kanye on and off since 2002. "I wish him the best in his future and all of his endeavors. He's one of the most talented people I've ever met."
We hate to say "I told you so," but based on the rapper's passionate blogging about fashion—and not Phifer!—this is one split that didn't take us completely by surprise.
