Kelly Ripa would be just fine with her hubby, Mark Consuelos, taking over Regis Philbin's job on Live! With Regis & Kelly once the chatfest vet steps down in November, but there's just one small issue.
Mark doesn't want the gig!
"It's our favorite rumor, because the one person with zero interest in the job would be my husband," Kelly told me while hosting Super Saturday 14 this weekend in the Hamptons.
So why wouldn't he want the spot, which our own Ryan Seacrest and Anderson Cooper are also reportedly being considered for?
Kel's hubby thinks they would wind up spending too much time together.
"He enjoys it once in a while, but he always says he likes being married better than he likes doing that job because he says it would be too much for us," she explained.
"Although, I don't think so!" Kel quickly added. "I think that I'm fun to be around 24 hours a day. He's like 'No thanks, I'll see you at home.' "
Kelly, who has been hosting the charity shopping extravaganza to benefit OCRF for years, hit the event solo but said she would shop for her kids and her husband.
Emma Roberts cohosted the event for the first time this year, and while she came with new beau Chord Overstreet, she walked the carpet solo and declined discussing him.
