Broken News: Brody Jenner's Digit Heads to the ER
It's no wonder The Hills is so successful. The producers don't need to stage commotion because drama naturally follows the castmates.
Yesterday, while I was enjoying the sun at the BeachBody Silverspoon House in Malibu, Brody Jenner decided to start a little football game with Lauren "L.C." Conrad and friends. Everyone was having a blast until Lauren quickly returned to the house and announced, "Brody broke his finger, so we're taking halftime."
Brody left the Malibu pad for the nearby ER and returned a short while later—with a set of X-rays and a full cast on his left arm! "I'm gonna live," he told the gang. "I'm gonna get surgery, but I'm gonna live."Some of his gal-pals cooed in support, but Lauren chuckled at the size of the cast. Um, wrong move. It apparently upset poor Brody, so the two buds (Lauren confirmed to me they're only friends) sat down by the bonfire—in front of the cameras, obvi—for a long-winded heart-to-heart.
I assume the high drama will be featured on season three, which premieres on MTV Aug. 13. But in case you can't wait that long to see what happens with Brody's poor little finger, rest assured: As long as he has surgery in the next 10 days, he says, he'll be able to move it again, enabling him to go back to his hectic schedule of canoeing and playing beach football. Another Hills dilemma averted.
