Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Spills on Jessica's New Man

Jessica Simpson's latest beau Eric Johnson has already met her entire family!

That's what Ashlee Simpson-Wentz told me last night at Neil Lane's bridal collection debut with Kay Jewelers in L.A.

And Eric's already come along on a family trip. Although we saw lots of shots of just Jess and Eric during her 30th-birthday trip to Italy, it turns out Ash and her parents were there, too.

"I went to Italy with her...we had a wonderful time," Ashlee told me. "It was a great time for the family to hang out."

So does Ash approve of Jess's new (and still married) man?

"Jessica is happy, so I am happy," Ashlee offered.

Sounds like a yes!

Ash also said she's loved spending time off from work with her son, Bronx, and that unlike Britney Spears, she's not necessarily opposed to him following his parents' showbiz footsteps.

"Right now, It's not something I think about," she admitted. "I just want him to be himself. Whoever he wants to be, we will support."

Also on hand for the bling bash at Drai's: Eva Longoria Parker, Ellen DeGeneres, Portia DeRossi and AnnaLynne McCord.
