Hugh Hefner Forced to Defend Playboy Ways After Adding Another Girlfriend Into the Fold

Hugh Hefner is wasting no time getting back to his playboy ways, with E! News exclusively reporting last week that Hef had welcomed some more fresh meat into the fold. This week, Hef confirmed his latest coupling, telling the world that Playboy's latest Playmate, Shera Bechard, just so happens to be his new girlfriend.
Proving yet again that the jobs seem to be one and the same. So what's the problem?

The problem is that Hef's romantic liaisons, while nothing new, have seemed to incur some backlash among his online followers.
"Shera is both our November 2011 Playmate & my new girlfriend," Hef tweeted yesterday, answering a fan's query as to which position the new girl was filling. [Incidentally, a Playboy rep tells E! News that Hef wasn't giving away any spoilers, he simply mistweeted: she was actually the magazine's November 2010 Playmate.]
The 27-year-old Canadian—whose previous claim to fame was starring as a mute Russian in the 2009 thriller Sweet Karma—moved into the Bunny House back in March, complete with her two cats, Arthur and Rufus, and her dwarf rabbit Ziggy.
But Hef, who's taken some heat for his rapid rebounds in the wake of his jilting by Crystal Harris, was forced to make clear on Twitter that he didn't put the cart before the horse. Or the new girlfriend before the old fiancée.
"You have it backwards," the 85-year-old tweeted in response to criticism from a follower on the slightly murky timeline of his romances. "The interest in Shera came after the stunner from Crystal."
He was forced to defend himself yet again when his motives were questioned.
"A new GF is the only logical response to heartbreak," he wrote.
So...how many heartbreaks, exactly, is he recovering from? 'Cause he certainly seems to be racking up the girlfriends.
