H&M Blows Off Kate Moss

Kate Moss could end up paying through the nose for her cocaine use.

After Moss copped to indulging in the high-octane substance, clothing giant H&M blew off a planned campaign starring the supermodel that was meant to launch a new line of clothing designed by Stella McCartney.

The company had initially said it would keep Moss on after she signed a written agreement to remain "healthy, wholesome and sound," in accordance with H&M's guidelines for its models.

However, after taking a little more time to consider the decision, H&M elected instead to can the catwalker from the campaign, stating that Moss was not "compatible with H&M's clear rejection of drugs."

"H&M has decided to cancel the advertising campaign with model Kate Moss," the Swedish-based company announced Tuesday. "H&M distances itself strongly from drugs and for several years has been actively engaged in drug prevention work with the Mentor Foundation."

The company said it would bring in another model for the campaign.

Moss admitted to using cocaine after she was caught on tape doing the drug during an undercover investigation by London's Daily Mirror.

Just two months ago, Moss accepted a settlement and an apology from the tabloid after it printed a story alleging that she had collapsed in a cocaine-fueled coma during a 2001 visit to Spain.

Other companies with whom Moss has lucrative contracts, including Chanel, Roberto Cavalli, Burberry, Rimmel and Christian Dior, has not yet publicly stated whether they will continue to work with the model.

Meanwhile, the British tabs continue to bombard Moss with tales of her purportedly sordid social life--detailing reports of supposed lesbian affairs with Jude Law's ex-wife, Sadie Frost, and alleged binges with Naomi Campbell.

As a result of her drug scandal, Moss has reportedly broken up with with her on-again, off-again boyfriend Pete Doherty, who has publicly struggled with substance abuse.

The model is also reportedly looking into seeking help from a treatment facility.

Moss previously checked herself into rehab back in 1998, claiming she was suffering from "exhaustion." She later later admitted she'd been hitting the bottle and getting high before hopping on the catwalk, but denied ever indulging in harder substances.
