Oh no, not again.

Hilary Duff is the latest celebrity to fall victim to yet another Internet death hoax after some easily fooled fans took to Twitter to spread a report generated by a certain website specializing in such mischief that she had fallen off the Kauri Cliffs at a luxury golf resort in New Zealand.

So what was the star really up to?

Duff, 23, has actually been in L.A. the whole time with her husband, Mike Comrie. The pair were spotted hanging at sister Haylie's house in Toluca Lake on Sunday and on Wednesday the erstwhile Lizzie Maguire star appeared at a launch party for Beverly Hills jewelry store.

She has also been keeping busy appearing in a new ad campaign for athletic clothing brand Danskin along with Padma Lakshmi, Jenny McCarthy and Christie Brinkley.

Duff joins an ever-growing list of stars pranked by rumors of an untimely demise which have put their fanbase in a panic.

They include Jeff Goldblum and Brad Pitt, both of whom like Hilary also happened to fall off a cliff in New Zealand, and Adam Sandler, Charlie Sheen and Owen Wilson, all of whom were falsely said to have met their end in separate snowboarding mishaps in Switzerland.
