"Yo, Matthew Morrison, you better bring s--t next time I see you, dude."

Oh, yes. It is on.

But what frankly hilarious sequence of events led to Jonah Hill uttering those words against the Glee guy-turned-archenemy on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon last night?

Well, it all began at this year's Fox upfronts—Morrison was present representing Glee, of course, and Hill was there repping for his animated series, Allen Gregory.

As he was the only one present from his show, Hill explained that he spent the majority of the time alone and awkward in the sea of talent before seeing his former high school classmate (and New Girl star) Zooey Deschanel. Well, she started chatting to Hill while the stars were receiving instructions—and guess who got blamed for the disruption?

But it wasn't just the organizer who laid into Hill. And that's where the trouble began.

"You guys know this guy Matthew Morrison from Glee?" he asked the Late Night audience. "This guy piggybacks on this woman calling me out, I've never met this guy before in my entire life! He goes, 'Yeah, Jonah, can't you stop talking for one second?' And everyone laughs! Everyone laughs at me! I wasn't even talking to anybody, this dude from Glee calls me out.

"I'm all shaken out by this," he said, continuing his gut-busting tale with even more passion. "I've already got this in my head that I don't like this guy. I'm sure he's a good human being, but you don't throw a dude under the bus who's just sitting there being quiet...He bullied me."

Case closed? Not hardly. Cut to a couple weeks later, when Hill said he was attending a "douchey Hollywood party, full of lame actors."

Well, guess who was among that stellar guest list? When Hill spotted Morrison chatting to Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford, he decided to get retribution by sneaking up behind him and calling him out.

"I'm gonna bust up his conversation," he said. "No joke, they don't see me."

But as he edged closer to their conversation and tried to listen in to what they were talking about so he could pick the best cue, all he heard was, "Something, something, something, Jonah Hill."

"And they both start laughing, right?! I'm the punchline in this guy's joke?!"

And then, the gauntlet was thrown.

"Yo, Matthew Morrison, you better bring s--t next time I see you, dude," he said to cheers from the audience and uncontrollable laughter from Fallon.

He even got up in the face of the camera, pointing his finger through the lens at Morrison.

"He's watching. He's watching, Jimmy. I'd like to see him sing his way out of this one. I think he learned his lesson."

If there's more where this came from, we sure hope not.
