Heroes' Greg Grunberg Says Son's Seizures Better After Brain Surgery

Greg Grunberg would probably be quick to pass his "hero" title on to a group of doctors who recently operated on his son.

The actor—a Twitter master who also plays telepathic Matt Parkman on Heroes—has been vocal about his 12-year-old son Jake's battle with epilepsy, actively leading the National Walk for Epilepsy and launching www.talkaboutit.org to raise awareness.

Jake, however, is doing much better, after a life-altering surgical procedure that sounds like something straight out of a Grey's Anatomy episode.

"Puberty screwed up levels of gauging whether his drugs were working or not," the star explains to People. "He was having more seizures. Hundreds a day. They removed the part of the brain that has the most epilepsy activity. Now Jake is having a little tiny episode once every three weeks.

"To me, that's a home run. We never thought that was possible."
